As both a veteran and military spouse, I understand firsthand the unique challenges that come with military life and transitions. My journey in mental health began during my service in the Air Force and has evolved into a passion for helping people navigate their own paths to wellness, particularly through mindfulness-based approaches and the accessibility of telehealth services.

With specialized training in treating anxiety, OCD, and depression in teens and adults, I bring a comprehensive approach to therapy that combines evidence-based practices with mindfulness techniques. Through extensive mindfulness training with Ronya Banks, I've developed expertise in helping clients ages 14 and above cultivate present-moment awareness and emotional regulation skills.

My clinical expertise includes:

  • Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

  • Anxiety and Depression

  • Complex Trauma

  • Perinatal and Postpartum Mental Health

  • Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction

  • Military Life Transitions

I utilize a variety of therapeutic approaches tailored to each client's needs, including:

  • Mindfulness-Based Therapy

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Through secure telehealth services, I offer the flexibility and convenience of receiving therapy from the comfort of your own space. Whether you're a teenager navigating school stress, a military spouse adjusting to a new deployment, or anyone seeking to develop mindfulness skills, I'm here to provide support and guidance on your journey to better mental health.

As someone who has walked both the military and civilian paths, I understand the importance of finding a therapist who "gets it." I'm committed to creating a safe, understanding space where you can work toward your goals with someone who understands your unique experiences.

Growing up as a military dependent and now as a spouse to a veteran, I understand the unique challenges that come with military life. This personal experience, combined with my professional training, allows me to connect deeply with clients of all backgrounds, from young children to adults.

My journey in mental health spans a decade, beginning as a Board-Certified assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) before transitioning to counseling. Working toward becoming a Registered Play Therapist, I specialize in creating safe, nurturing spaces for clients ages 3 and up. Whether I'm using play therapy with a young child, engaging a teenager through sand tray work, or supporting an adult with traditional talk therapy, I tailor my approach to meet each client where they are.

My expertise in trauma-informed care includes Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and sand tray therapy. Having grown up in the military community and now supporting my veteran spouse, I bring both personal understanding and professional expertise to my work with service members, veterans, and their families.

I specialize in supporting:

  • Childhood trauma and adverse experiences

  • Adult trauma recovery

  • Military life transitions

  • Anxiety and depression

  • Behavioral challenges

  • Family dynamics

  • Cultural identity and growth

Having worked extensively with diverse communities including military families, Latine families, veteran communities, Black communities, and AAPI cultures, I understand that trauma experiences and healing paths look different for everyone. My approach combines evidence-based practices with expressive therapies, creating a therapeutic experience that feels both effective and natural.

Whether you're a parent seeking support for your preschooler, a teenager navigating life's changes, or an adult looking for a space to heal, I'm here to help you find your path forward with understanding and expertise.

I take a naturally curious approach to therapy, believing that every person's story holds unique insights and possibilities for growth. Currently pursuing my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, I combine my academic training with a genuine interest in understanding each client's individual experience.

While I work with clients of all ages, I have a special connection with children and adolescents. My experience with the Boy Scouts of America has taught me the value of asking questions, exploring possibilities, and creating safe spaces where young people feel comfortable being themselves.

Through a lens of curiosity and openness, I help clients explore:

  • New perspectives on challenges

  • Creative solutions to problems

  • Understanding of emotions and behaviors

  • Family dynamics and relationships

  • Personal strengths and abilities

  • Cultural and social influences

My background in intercultural studies has deepened my appreciation for diverse perspectives and experiences. I believe that by remaining curious and open to each person's unique story, we can work together to find paths forward that truly resonate with who you are.

Whether I'm helping a child navigate school challenges, supporting a teenager in processing complex emotions, or working with a family to enhance communication, I create a warm, accepting environment where questions are welcomed and personal discovery is encouraged.

In our work together, you'll find a therapist who is genuinely interested in understanding your experiences and working collaboratively to support your growth and well-being.

Life's most meaningful journeys often begin with a single step. Whether you're navigating life transitions, processing trauma, or seeking deeper understanding of yourself, I'm here to walk alongside you on your path to healing and growth.

As a counselor specializing in trauma-informed care, I bring a unique blend of expertise in helping individuals work through complex life challenges. My background includes specialized training as a Certified Field Traumatologist and extensive experience with the H.E.A.R.T Model, allowing me to offer a holistic approach that considers the interconnection of mind, body, and spirit.

My journey in mental health began at the University of Dallas, where I explored the profound connection between spirituality and family dynamics during times of grief. This foundation, combined with my master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Divine Mercy University, has shaped my approach to therapy – one that honors both the scientific and deeply human aspects of healing.

I work particularly well with teens and adults, offering both in-person and virtual sessions. My areas of focus include:

  • Trauma recovery and resilience building

  • Maternal mental health, including postpartum depression and infertility

  • Couples counseling using the Gottman approach

  • Emotional regulation and mindfulness

  • Family dynamics and relationship challenges

Using a combination of evidence-based approaches including CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed care, I create a safe, supportive environment where you can explore your challenges and discover your path forward.
